چکیده
In this paper, the formation of gold nanostructures by nanosecond pulsed-excimer laser irradiation with energy flux of 75 mJ/cm2 and wavelength of 193 nm on a gold thin film deposited on a polymer substrate is reported. Investigation on morphology shows that applying one and five laser pulses on the gold films results in nearly spherical and flower-like nanoparticles with a diameter of 20 and 95 nm, respectively. Also, two LSPR peaks about 597 and 636 nm are observed in the samples. Furthermore, increasing the number of laser pulses leads to a small red shift in the LSPR wavelength of gold nanostructures performed using the excimer laser. Moreover, the Raman peaks of rhodamine 6G in the presence of the gold flower-like nanoparticles are more intense than another. Therefore, the gold nanostructures produced by exposing five laser pulses on gold thin film is a good candidate for use in LSPR biosensors as well as SERS spectroscopy and applications based on SERS.
