Photodegradation of methylene blue methylene orange, and rhodamine B under both of sun and UV irradiations by using CdTe/CdS core/shell QDs

چکیده
In this paper, CdTe/CdS core/ shell quantum dots (QDs) synthesized by simple and rapid a photochemical (UV‐assisted) approach. Photocatalyst performance of CdTe/CdS QDs was investigated by methylene blue, methylene orange and rhodamine B as pollutants under both sun and UV illuminations. The obtained results showed that the best photodegradation among all samples belonged to the CdTe/CdS QDs with methylene orange under UV irradiation and its dye degradation percentage and the linear kinetic rate constant (k) were obtained about 88.2% and 17.2×〖10〗^(-3)respectively.
