چکیده
Carbon Dots (C-dots) are carbon nanoparticles of very small size which has been a subject of intense study in recent years due to their interesting properties and applications. These particles have excellent biocompatibility properties, unique optical properties, high stability, low toxicity, and good solubility in water. C-dots possess many physiochemical and photochemical properties which make them a promising platform for imaging, environmental, catalytic, biological, and energy-related applications. In this study, C-dots were synthesized from Malvaceae Plants by the hydrothermal method which is the green, cost-effective, and easy method. In this method, there is no requirement for high pressure, energy, temperature, or toxic chemicals. In the hydrothermal method, the precursor was placed in a synthetic autoclave after preparation, and distilled water was added to it and placed in the oven. By optimizing the plant precursor, temperature, and reaction time, high-fluorescence C-dots were obtained. The green synthesized C-dots were characterized using UV visible spectroscopy and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). That prepared C-dots have promising potential and many applications in nanotechnology.
